Dirty tail light

I put a LED tail light on my bike about a year ago, very bright. And water used to splash up from the tire and hit it. It was constantly being drenched in watery muddy slushy salty muck. It was a mess.
So, today I glued a small piece of wood to protect it from the stuff. And I painted it orange, see picture. Now it'll stay clean and beautiful.

  1. It looks great! Did it solve your problem?

  2. Yes, it worked good. I was hoping for a very wet and messy day to test it. There was a little water on the street today, and after riding home there was dirt and water under the orange wood but the light stayed clean and dry.
